Russia Arms Expo

Dear friends and colleagues,

The 9th International Exhibition of Arms, Military Equipment and Ammunition “Russia Arms Expo 2013” will take place in Russia from 25 to 28 September. Thousands of square metres of the Exhibition in Nizhny Tagil will introduce latest achievements of the Russian defence industry, as well as ambitious projects from around the world.

The Exhibition traditionally sees the participation of high-level government delegations from countries, which both export and import military equipment, and of foreign specialists. Foreign businesses also demonstrate their products there. The Russia Arms Expo has always been a reflection of major trends and prospects of the global arms market.

Nizhny Tagil has a unique site which no other exhibition facility in the world can match. It boasts a 1.5 x 50 km battlefield target simulation area, 3 km long tracks with obstacles to demonstrate operational capabilities of armoured vehicles, a water driving area with a water surface of 7,500 sq m and 5 m deep, and also a flight test airfield. The large scale of this site means it can demonstrate not only the operational but also the combat capabilities of armoured vehicles and other types of arms. For example, modern helicopter-borne fire systems and unmanned aerial vehicles. One of the most spectacular elements of the exhibition will be a demonstration of the combat potential of the modernised T-90S tank and the Terminator tank support fighting vehicle.
