VTB Bank becomes sponsor of Russia Arms EXPO 2013

VTB Bank became the sponsor of  Russia Arms EXPO 2013 (RAE 2013), the IX International Exhibition of Arms, Military Equipment, and Ammunition, which is taking place September 25-28 at the Nizhniy Tagil State Demonstration and Exhibition Center of Armaments and Military Equipment of the Nizhniy Tagil Metal Testing Institute (NTIIM). Over a period of four days, participants and visitors of the Exhibition will see the latest and greatest achievements of Russia's defense industry along with the most advanced examples of international military equipment, as 400 exhibitors from 50 countries of the world will demonstrate unique characteristics of their products. In general, RAE 2013 will outline a full picture of the priorities, achievements, and future potential of not only Russia's, but the world's defense industry.
RAE 2013 is not only a military exhibition, but also a platform for supplier negotiations, contract signing, discussing the current and future goals of Russia's defense industry, and working out ways of military cooperation between Russia and its international partners. Along with an extensive demonstration program, the exhibition will feature a business agenda dealing with industrial and legal aspects of development of the global arms market.
VTB has sponsored numerous major technology exhibitions, among which the MAKS International Aviation and Space Salon (VTB has taken part in and sponsored the Salon since 2003) and the 2012 Engineering Technologies International Forum. Besides, VTB has traditionally supported social and cultural initiatives of Russia's major theaters and museums such as the Bolshoi and Mariinsky Theaters, The Pyotr Fomenko Theater, the Tretyakov Gallery, and the Russian Museum. 2013 became the second year running when VTB became the General Sponsor of the Moscow International Film Festival. VTB provides regular help to children's healthcare and orphanages, allocating significant sums to support children's hospital within the World without Tears charity program.
VTB has  been active in sports as well. Since 2003, the Bank has been the general sponsor of Russia's men's national volleyball team; in 2005, the bank began supporting the KAMAZ-Master rally team; and since 2008, VTB has been the general sponsor of the legendary Dinamo Moscow Football Club. From the 2010/2011 season, VTB is the general sponsor of Dinamo Moscow Hockey Club. The Bank also has sponsorship projects in basketball, gymnastics, and track-and-field athletics.
